I have played guitar for 18 years now and am only just beginning to see the sun rise on the day when I know what I'm doing.  It has been great fun and a lot of work to achieve a kind of balance and sense of purpose such that I feel confident to survey my surroundings and describe them.  That is what I intend to do here.
